Code in Your Class

Welcome to Code in Your Class! Our (current) mission is to encourage and equip elementary teachers to integrate coding into their classes. We are working to compile resources to enable teachers to easily engage students in critical thinking and problem solving activities. Our focus at this point is to work on increasing outcomes in Mathematics, but we hope to branch out into other disciplines, as well.

This website is an on-going project of the Southern Nazarene University Education Department, with Professor Jody Bowie as the mentor, 2017 Student Researcher Kaleb Dye, and 2018 Student Researcher Haley Ryckman.

This is a collaborative project with P-12 school districts, with a focus on elementary student outcomes in math, science, and technology.

Funding for the development of the site is through the Southern Nazarene University Catalysts & the Oklahoma Space Grant Consortium, the latter of which is funded by NASA.
